#92 for the year, A Year in Provence by Peter Mayle
Date Finished: 6/21/13
How Acquired: Ordered from the library
Final Thoughts: This is a book to live vicariously through; I read it while at work so I could pretend I was living in and discovering Provence along with Peter Mayle and his wife. This is a book, and a lifestyle, that glorifies food, nature, and leisure. The writing is crisp and detailed and the supporting cast is often endearing and humorous. While the writing could be dry at times, A Year in Provence is a great piece of travel writing.
